Does anyone have a source for a not too expensive usb to serial adaptor? Totally skipped my mind that the more portable laptops don't have serial ports anymore.

There are some on ebay but shipping kills!

Keep in mind that you may have problems if you use an "off" brand. Belkin or Keyspan are the recommended adapters.

Yea, I thought it was a bit pricy too, but it works well. It's not just a cable tho. It comes with a driver disc.

I haven't had much luck with the cheap ones so if you want to try one, make sure it's from a store where you can return it if it doesn't work.
